Pike County sues over electrical failure on Election Day

State

Pike County leaders are suing Entergy and its own insurer for $500,000.  County leaders say an electrical failure led to issues with voting machines and election results.

They say voting machines were damaged in a power outage.

Leaders claim a poorly maintained power line caused a short circuit in March 2016. This lead to a hand count by flashlight of the votes on site.

Entergy is reportedly investigating.
