Our spotlight match up Friday night is Clinton at Warren Central, a big tie-breaker in Region 2-6A.
Both the Vikings and the Arrows are tied for fourth in the region with 2-2 records. And they both are averaging around 27 points per game. Clinton however has the better overall record with 6-2.
The 3-4 Vikings, though, are putting up more rushing yards per game with 272, more total yards per game 356, and more tackles per game with 64.
Warren Central is coming off a 39-18 win against Murrah last week. Head coach Josh Morgan said a win against Clinton is one they need.
“We’ve been battling all season long,” said Morgan. “We’ve played some really good teams, we knew our district was going to be tough and everyone of them mattered. That’s been the case and this is just another big one. A lot more at stake though because we’re about down to our last life and they are too. Both teams are in the same mode, have the same to play for and also have the same to lose.”
The Vikings are also looking for their first home win of the season.
