Two officers fired for introducing contraband into Youth Detention Center

HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Two Hinds County Henley-Young Youth Detention officers were fired for allegedly introducing contraband into the facility.

The officers, who have not been identified, were fired on Thursday after an investigation.

Authorities said the officers arranged illegal deliveries in the detention center parking lot and delivered the items to one of the youth detainees. The items included marijuana, tattoo guns and food.
