BYRAM, MS – Issues with the water system are spilling over from the Jackson city limits into neighboring areas.

Byram is the latest city to be affected by a major main break last week.

People living in Byram are complaining of dirty water just days after crews worked to repair a 42 inch main break.

Some people tell our crews this is an ongoing problem..and now it’s costing them to cook…clean…and drink.

One woman we spoke to says she’s been buying bottled water and is still paying a bill for water service that isn’t safe…

“We’re stuck with dirty water that we cannot use and don’t want to use and at the same time we’re having to buy bottled water to survive, but yet we’re required to pay our water bill,” says resident, Lisa Proffer,

A number of neighborhoods claim to still have brown water while the boil water alert has been lifted.
