Workers find bees and honeycomb inside Jackson home

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – For years, thousands of bees were making a home at Ty Patterson’s house

“I’ve got 10 years plus worth of bees and didn’t even know it,” said Patterson, the homeowner.

Over time, the busy bees built a honeycomb about 10 feet in length along the roof.

“I don’t want to throw it away or harm the bees,” said Patterson. “I just want to get it I’m hoping we can actually save them.
I’m shocked it’s just a million bees in my house.”

After noticing some bees swarming, she had two companies check it out.
“Right now, we just opened the hole so they can fly,” said Jeremy Bates, said the owner of Remodeling to the Max. “Now we trying to remove the beehive full of honey so once we get that done so once we get that done we’ll go back and replace the corners.”

It wasn’t all work. They all enjoyed the bee’s honey, never tasting anything like it.
“It don’t get no purer than this y’all,” said Joshua Davidson with Davidson Construction. “This straight from the mother nest, I ain’t going to
lie. I done taste a lot of honey in my life, and this has got to be the best.”
