The New Orleans Saints are using a new tactic to ‘beat the heat’ this year at Training Camp: a cooling truck.
In the past, NFL and college teams have tried using tents, fans, and other technological advances to try to keep their players cool on the sidelines. This, however, is taking it to a different level.
“That’s the temperature if you’re an Atlantic salmon,” head coach Sean Payton joked. “When you have short amount of time it’s good for these guys to get in there, and you can’t cool them down enough.”
The Saints will continue with practice on Friday and Saturday. Next week, the Saints play their first preseason game at Jacksonville on Thursday, August 9th.
