Kendrick Market out for the season with torn ACL

Sports

WJTV – Mississippi State has lost one of its defensive leaders for the rest of the season,

Fifth-year senior safety Kendrick Market tore his ACL in the Bulldogs’ 30-17 loss to Texas A&M. He is tied for sixth on the team in total tackles with 23.

The injury bug bit Market in 2014 too, when he tore his Achilles tendon against Ole Miss, making him miss the Orange Bowl against Georgia Tech.

Head coach Dan Mullen said Market cannot get a sixth year of eligibility from the NCAA because he has played too many games this season.
