MHSAA 4A: Lanier beats Raymond, captures 17th state championship

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) — Another gold ball is on its way to the Lanier trophy case. The Bulldogs are state champions for the 17th time in school history after beating Raymond, 64-48 in the 4A finals Thursday at the Mississippi Coliseum. The win was extra special for the Bulldogs as they honored head coach Lawrence Clark who’s in the hospital battling pneumonia.
