Southern Miss. Quarterback Keon Howard announced he is pulling out of the athletics program and school ahead of the 2018 season. Howard started 8 games for the Eagles over the past two seasons sharing a duel role with Quarterback Kwadra Griggs. Howard says his reason for leaving is strictly business related and a family decision but nothing personal. Howard says he will never forget the values that were instilled in him during his time at Southern Miss. and how the program took a chance on him as a local talent. Howard says since his announcement he has received calls from multiple schools interested in him as an option but that is a decision he is not ready to speak on at this time. Howard says Southern Miss. and the teammates he will leave behind will always hold a special place in his heart.
