JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – At the request of the Mississippi Forestry Commission, a burn ban has been issued statewide, which includes all 82 counties. The burn ban is in effect until further notice.
Consult the Mississippi Forestry Commission before performing any outdoor activities involving spark or flame to make sure the activity is not prohibited by the burn ban. Violating a burn ban can result in fines of up to $500.
