TONIGHT: Scattered light to moderate rain showers and possibly a thunderstorm will continue through this evening and into the overnight hours. The chance of rain is 30%. Otherwise, the weather will be cloudy and muggy Thursday night with lows near 70 degrees by early Friday morning.
FRIDAY: A stalled front over the region will keep elevated rain chances and cooler temperatures in the forecast. The front will meander back to the north during the day Friday so winds will begin to shift back to the southwest. Look for highs in the mid to upper 80s with limited sunshine and a 50% chance of scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. No severe weather is expected.
THE TROPICS: A tropical wave in the Caribbean has a low chance of developing as it tracks into the southwestern Gulf of Mexico this weekend. Whatever develops with this tropical wave likely just brings more rain into south Texas.
